What is an ETC card?

If you use an ETC card, you can use all expressways in Japan without stopping the vehicle and simply passing the ETC lane without taking a ticket. Even when exiting the expressway, you can exit the ETC lane without the need for settlement at the cashier.
The expressway fee can be settled later when you return the vehicle.
A discount rate of up to 30% on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays This is a cheaper way to use Japanese expressways by using an ETC card.
ETC terminals are installed in all Times Car RENTAL vehicles. It operates by installing an ETC card in this terminal. However, an ETC card must be applied for in advance, and it is provided at a fee of 300 yen (excluding tax) regardless of the rental date.
ETC card can be lent to foreigners including Koreans. However, except for Okinawa, and not available at some stores.
When making a reservation, you can check available stores and choose whether to apply for an ETC card.

What is a highway pass?

You can use a flat-rate pass that allows you to freely use Japanese expressways for a flat rate through Oki Tour Times Car Rental reservation.
ETC card is mandatory when applying for a flat-rate pass. (300 yen/tax excluded)

- If you have a Korean passport, you can use it.
- Foreigners without Japanese passports or Japanese with foreign passports
- You must have a driver's license that can be used in Japan. (Korea International Driver's License is acceptable)
